This spring I am focusing on landscape painting. What follows are two paintings from a plein air workshop in Tuscany. These are my early attempts at capturing landscapes in oil. The first two photos are of my painting at the site of the roman ruins in Fiesole, Italy, which is just north of Florence. The third is a view from the balcony of my apartment in Fiesole. I am painting small, 8 by 10 inch canvas panels, so this third photo is approx. actual size.
